Yesterday, I mentioned how to make chicken. Today, I'm talking about veggies..
Take some frozen veggies (green beans, carrots, corn) out of the freezer, boil them like 10, 20 minutes. carrots should be soft, green beans dark... drain... top with butter (parve fake butter) and salt and pepper. I like to pour chicken juice on instead of butter. I figure it's healthier. I usually put that in the oven for about 10 minutes in the juices... I do all this while making the chicken.
How about adding broccoli and cabbage to the mix and using a wok? Quick, easy, extremely healthy, and great tasting!
ReplyDeleteInstead of butter or "fake butter," use olive oil.
ReplyDeleteI like a little bit of olive oil or any other fancy oil if I have on hand (sesame, grapeseed have nice taste, even a nut oil is kind of interesting). It's also good to steam them too. I like to really spice up with garlic and onions. Or if I have a meat broth usually meant for soup, that also gives a nice flavor.
ReplyDeleteIf making meat in crock pot, I will fill it the rest of the way with veggies.
