"worst professor in the college! it's great that you dont have to show up to class and there are no homeworks, but the midterm and final are impossible!!! the final is cumulative, which is completley ridiculous. why does it need to be cumulative? it just makes us study double the amount of the material on the final. he is the dullest teacher"
Ummm, a professor has the right to give a cumulative exam. If you can't handle it, you don't belong in college.
"this professor is DUMB! don't teach nothing 2 test he curved test 22 points and guess what every1 still failed it. test is totally opposite what he talks about all he does is joke den give huge test midterm 50 quest final 100.. @ end i went EVERY class even HE missed 1 class i went everyclass due to fact he NEVER takes attendence wen he tries take"
No, you're dumb!
"Plz plz if possible kick him out of his chair. If possible don't let him teach the class. He is a bustard."
A later commenter asked, "what's a bustard?" I'm sure they are trying to say bastard. He's not a bastard because he didn't give you an "A."
"im warning u people. This guy is a loonatic. i dont know how hes a prefessor. I think he bribes the president to keep him on the job. He is the worst teacher i ever had. I feel like im in hell when im in his class. He should get a life and spare the students lives.Just stay away from him."
I count two spelling errors and several grammar errors.
The scary thing is that the moron students don't know (or care!)that the mean-spirited or vindictive things they write on a professor's evaluation actually matter. Ratings and evaluations from students often end up in the prof's tenure file and affect the career he/she has worked to build.
ReplyDeleteor good grades....
ReplyDeleteYes, but "ratemyprofessor.com" is separate from the evaluations submitted on Portal. Ratemy is a nationwide thing and covers basically all schools. I do agree, though, that a professor is not necessarily bad because you didn't get a good grade. They are there to teach, not to give bad grades.
ReplyDelete"it's great that you dont have to show up to class and there are no homeworks, but the midterm and final are impossible!!!"
ReplyDeleteWhy do I suspect that the writer didn't show up to class and that has something with their judgment that the midterm and final are "impossible!!!" ?
(Incidentally, this is a good example of where British rules for punctuation make a lot more sense than American rules. Under US rules I should have wrote:
Why do I suspect that the writer didn't show up to class and that has something with their judgment that the midterm and final are "impossible!!!?"
And that's just confusing)
Josh, great one that I missed!
ReplyDeleteJoshua, according to American punctuation rules the question mark would still be after the quotation mark. The quotation mark is to quote the student and doesn't need a question mark. The whole sentence is a question, so a question mark at the end of it is appropriate.
