Jews who rally against Israel.. WHAT????

A Facebook friend commented on his status:
I was not commenting on that fact Israel, I do appreciate it very much. The status has to do with a rally that took place today in manhattan, NYC. Where many Hassidic Jews from the Satmar sect protested on the outside as a facade that Israeli Police were beating them up... but quickly turned into a nasty anti Israel rally where ... Read MoreSatmar principle of Throop avenue school called for the end and complete destruction (gd forbid) in yiddish of the State of Israel. May GD smite this man and the many others with the harshest of punishments for their reprehensible actions and grave chillul hashem.

My response:
I'm sorry, but in my mind these people are not Jewish, which is funny because they think they are more Jewish than everyone else and some people think "chasidic" is somehow better or MORE Jewish. Try more 18th Century Poland.....

  1. It is ironic that a convert is questioning the Jewishness of halachic Jews. You posted on your blog how you wanted respect and to be accepted but you cant show tolerance for a people who hold a different halachic position? Please dont be an embarrasment! Stop acting like an ignorant convert and start following Torah. Practice what you preach, give them the benefit of the doubt before you reject them as you would want them to give you! Dont be a hypocrite! Refute their arguements using Torah NOT verbal insults, and ad hominem attacks!

  2. Well, some come from Romania, Russia, Belarus. The Satmar will not accept financial aid from the Israeli Govt so I respect that. My favorite Chassidic group are the Lubavich, but everone loves them, and Rebbe Schneersohn helped bring down the Iron Curtain

  3. No, not everyone DOES like the Loobies. I find that many pre-converts fall into the Chabad trap. Perhaps you will snap out of it.

  4. with all do respect girl, you got to lighten up. i am not quite as intense as the first commenter, that guy needs to smoke a j also, but one of the things we believe is that ones jewishness can never leave them. these JEWS, like the guy posted three above me, need a hug, not to be called "not even jewish. they of course have no nice things to say about you either, but that does not make it right.

  5. Anoymous, you sound like a teen or sheltered person without solid life experience. Ok, yes, these Jews are technically Jewish. However, there is something seriously wrong when they are disrespecting Israel. Israel is the Jewish homeland and the Jews who want us to hand it over to the Arabs... well, that's just not Jewish. A real Yid should believe in YIDdishkeit and the YIDland.

  6. I'm sorry Thomas, but the Lubavitcher Rebbe didn't do anything substantial that lead to the fall of the USSR. Just because the Lubavitchers say something doesn't make it true (this goes for a lot of stuff they say).

  7. I really have an issue with anyone questioning someone elses Jewishness especially when either one of those ppl is a convert. The issue with Israel is long and complicated. According to your blog they were protesting the "State of Israel". Well from what I've heard and seen I question the "State of Israel" as well. I mean really, when Hashem promised us this land did He really intend that we should have prostitution and such there? Was that really the goal? After years of persecution and rejection of Jews all over the world that some should come to the Jewish homeland and still be rejected and persecuted by your own people? The "State of Israel" and state in which Israel is in is seriously flawed and you have no right to question anyone's Jewishness for speaking out.

And speaking of "handing it over to the Arabs", you do realize that we Jews got kicked out of Israel for disobeying G-d' commandments (baseless hatred and all that). In the meantime a new group of ppl happened on some empty land (pretty prime real estate as the Torah describes it) and made it their home. The Holocaust happens and the agreement is made to send us to Israel, completely disregarding the fact that ppl are already living there.

How would you feel after you moved into your new home and the government said " Now I know u found this place empty, and i know it technically didn't belong to anyone, and I know you've built your roots here and I know you've got no where else to go, but umm get out" Wouldn't you be pissed off? Wouldn't you "fight" for what you worked hard for? Would you hold at least a little grudge against the folks who took your home away?"

Now I'm not saying anyone is right or that anyone is wrong but there are always 3 sides to a story- yours, theirs and the truth

The land was not empty at the time. It was controlled by Rome, and there were still some Jews. They got persecuted under the rule of Christian Rome. The Arabs conquered the land shortly after the death of Muhammad.

How would you feel if another religion tried to convert you by the sword, as Islam did? If you are going to question the right of Israel, you may as well do the same for America.

If you do not believe me, feel free to conduct some research.
